Beautiful White Trumpet Shaped Flowers ~ Starts blooming at dusk.
Fast growing annual. Moonflower has beautiful white flowers that bloom at night, making this a wonderful plant for the moon garden. Remains open all day in cloudy weather.
Sun or part sun. Flowers are similar to morning glories, but generally pure white, 4 to 6 inches wide. Blossoms open in evening and remain open until sun hits them the following day. Delightful fragrance and striking appearance when illuminated at night. Flowers best in relatively infertile soils.
Do not plant adjacent to lawn areas where high nitrogren plant foods might wash and result in lush top growth at the expense of flowering.
Grown from seed, which is very hard. File through seed coats individually, or soak the seeds for 2 to 5 hours before planting.
It will grow 3-4′high, and after blooming will produce interesting seed pods, that after they break open may reseed themselves.
These Organic seeds were harvested Summer of 2010. All of my seeds are harvested by hand from plants grown organically, without the use of any chemicals. Seeds are packed in plastic bags.
